The 6th Nottingham Tournament was held on 12th November 1988 in the Portland Building.
The new organiser was Dan Gilder, a post-grad at the University. Another local post-grad was expected to
win the tournament, namely Piers Shepperson, whom was also British Champion at the time. How he lost his second game
to the eventual tournament winner,
